PW20 is a smooth, plastic throwing body widely favoured for tableware. Suitable for beginners and professionals, it offers excellent throwing and trimming qualities, low drying shrinkage, and strong attachment performance. It also works well for handbuilding.
Firing range: 1160–1260°C
Fires very white with occasional faint speckling and generally supports well‑fitting glazes, including Abbots Clear between 1160°C and 1200°C.
Wet to fired shrinkage (1200°C): approx. 16%
Water absorption: 4% at 1160°C, 2% at 1200°C
