How to book a class

Our classes are released a month before the start of each term. First, we make them available to preview on our booking website along with the release date. This gives you time to decide which class works for you without the pressure of missing out. Then, on the specified date, bookings will open using the same link. Please click here to view our terms and conditions

If you can't book into your class, first check the release date listed with the class description. If you're booking on or after this date, the class is likely sold out. Classes can fill up quickly, so make sure you're subscribed to our newsletter to hear about new classes first and get the best chance of securing a spot.

Do you have a ceramic project or is there something you've always wanted to build? Make it real! From coffee cups to clay origami pieces and everything in between.

Develop your skills and be inspired by others in this 5 week hand building class. You are encouraged to bring your own ideas and Cat will help you bring them to life. The options are endless just bring your willingness to learn and have fun! Clay and tools will need to be purchased for this class and firings are paid separately.

Serving Platters on Wednesday Evenings with Estefany

Description:
Create your own serving platters in this 5-week Hand Building class. Estefany will help you create your own serving platters using simple slab techniques. You will be encouraged to use textures and decorating techniques including using ceramic transfer patterns making your platters completely unique.

These serving platters are a great way to elevate your meals or to use as beautiful cheese/nibbles platters.Clay and tools will need to be purchased for this class and firings are paid separately.

Introduction to Hand Building with Porcelain on Thursday Evenings

Day: Thursday

Description:
Discover the magic of working with Porcelain! In this 5-week class you will be able to experiment with Porcelain clay. The focus of the class will be making vessels that imitate crumpled paper! You will be guided by Cat as to how to work with this beautiful medium.

Learn how to prevent cracking in your work all the while learning how to create your pieces with care and attention to detail. Cat will teach you various tips and tricks, all you need to bring is your willingness to learn and have fun! Students will share a bag of porcelain making it more affordable for participants. Clay and tools will need to be purchased for this class.

Drawing on Clay with Susan St Lawrence on Thursday Mornings

Day: Thursday
Time: 10am–12:30pm
Duration/ level: 8 weeks / Suitable for all levels
Dates: 30 April to 18 June 2026
Description:
Expanding on Term 1, Susan will focus on vertical forms as a canvas. You'll trial a variety of methods, materials and techniques to find the best way for you to create the result you want.

In this 8 week class you will:

· Learn how to make vessels using a variety of construction methods.

· Investigate different clay illustration methods, techniques and materials that have worked for others through the ages.

· Experiment with several techniques to see which ones you love and will best work for you.

Susan St Lawrence has a Bachelor of Visual Arts and a Diploma of Ceramic Arts and is a ceramist, bronze caster and tutor known for her narrative sculptural works.

She teaches drawing, creativity and ceramic sculpture and exhibits regularly as one half of the Small Stories duo with Helen Perrett.

Clay and tools will need to be purchased for this class, and glazing/firings will be done by our technicians and will need to be paid on a weigh and pay basis

Description:
Ready to expand your ceramic practice?
This course encourages you to learn new skills, explore influential ceramic artists, and work in fresh, unexpected ways. With an emphasis on process over outcome, you’ll be supported to experiment, take risks, and embrace the creative value of failure.

If you’re curious, open to discovery, and eager to push your work further, this course is for you.

We’ll look at videos and interviews of contemporary artists, and you can either follow one artist’s approach as inspiration for a project or take part in a series of exercises drawn from multiple practices.
