How to book a class

Our classes are released a month before the start of each term. First, we make them available to preview on our booking website along with the release date. This gives you time to decide which class works for you without the pressure of missing out. Then, on the specified date, bookings will open using the same link. If you can't book into your class, first check the release date listed with the class description. If you're booking on or after this date, the class is likely sold out. Classes can fill up quickly, so make sure you're subscribed to our newsletter to hear about new classes first and get the best chance of securing a spot.

I have some experience—what level should I book?

If you have experience throwing, you can skip level one and move into the level that best describes what you'd like to focus on.

Beginner's Level One

Beginner's Level One

Day: Multiple options
Time: 10am–12:30pm and 6:30pm–9pm options
Duration/ level: 5 weeks / Beginner Level 1
Suitable for beginners
Description:
Beginners Level 1 is designed to give you a strong foundation with solid skills to get you throwing on the pottery wheel.

You will focus on cylinders - the basis of many pottery forms (think scales for musicians!) and bowls, and learn how to trim these forms. In your last class you will learn how to glaze your pots in a simple and effective way, by single dipping.

Course includes up to 4 pieces to be glazed and fired. Any additional pieces may be kept for an extra $20 per piece.
Clay is included in the course cost, and tools are available to use during class.

Finished work will be available to collect 3 - 4 weeks after your course.

Beginner's Level 1.5

Description:
This course is perfect if you have completed a Level 1 with us and would like to bridge the gap between Levels 1 and 2.

You will learn to expand on the basic techniques of making cylinders, cups and bowls, and you will start using larger amounts of clay to get you prepared for Level 2.

Course includes up to 4 pieces to be glazed and fired. Any additional pieces may be kept for an extra $20 per piece.
Clay is included in the course cost, and tools are available to use during class.

Finished work will be available to collect 3 - 4 weeks after your course.

Mug-Nificent!

Mug-Nificent!

Day: Monday Evenings
Time: 6:30pm–9pm
Duration/ level: 3 weeks / Beginner Level 1
Dates: 15th June - 29th June
Suitable for beginners
Description:
This 3-week wheel course is a chance to create your dream mug set of up to 4 mugs. This course is perfect for those who just want to focus on one particular vessel shape and technique. In your 2nd week, you will trim and attach handles to your pieces and choose between 2 to 4 of your favourite mugs to be bisque fired. In the last class you will learn how to apply glaze to finish your works, ready for their final glaze firing.

Course includes up to 4 pieces to be glazed and fired. Any additional pieces may be kept for an extra $20 per piece.
Clay is included in the course cost, and tools are available to use during class.

Beginner's Level Two

Beginner's Level Two

Day: Multiple options

Duration/ level: 5 weeks / Beginner Level 2
Must have completed level 1
Description:
In this 8 week Beginners Level 2 class, you’ll build on your foundations from Level 1.

You will begin to explore different shapes to make unique mugs and jugs and also start increasing the sizes of the bowls you are able to throw.

In your last class you will continue to learn about glazes and explore different creative application methods.

Clay and tools will need to be purchased and each object is fired on a weigh and pay basis.

Finished work will be available to collect 3 - 4 weeks after your course.
